Welcome to the future of WoW Ping lowering software!
Smoothping Elite has been designed to make your WoW playing as simple as possible. By using Smoothping Elite, you will always have the most up-to-date server information, the best ping times possible, and only takes seconds to launch from your desktop into WoW, without the need to do anything but click a shortcut!
The first thing you need to do is download the one-click installer below. We assure you that there is no malware, spyware, or keyloggers! We play WoW too, and we know how much of a pain it is to get rid of that stuff and more than 5000 WoW players have already used our client with no issues! We are here for the long haul and hope you keep using Smoothping for years to come!
Smoothping Elite Client Download
Once you download it, click "Install". Smoothping Elite will now download, install, and launch the setup wizard.
Enter your Smoothping username and password. Remember, username is all lowercase! Password is case sensitive.
Once you login, you will need to select your realm. This helps us choose the best Smoothping server for you. We do not save or capture this data.
Now, just click "Launch Smoothping Elite". Now you can click "Launch WoW" to play using your recommended server. You can also click on the Server List tab, and select your own server.
Shortcuts
One of the unique features of Smoothping Elite is the ability to create shortcuts. When you click on the Shortcuts tab, you have a few options. Clicking the "Create Shortcut On Desktop" will create a shortcut on your desktop based on your realm you have selected. It will calculate the best server for you every time you launch it.
You can also make a shortcut for a "datacenter". This will pick the best server for the datacenter that you pick. Say you select Dallas, it will pick the best dallas server out of dallas01, dallas02 etc.
For our advanced users, you can also just make a shortcut to a specific Smoothping server.
Alternative Programs
Now, this works for most people, but in some cases it does not due to security settings, firewall types, blocked ports and a multitude of other variables. For those people, we have a few different options to choose from that you can view here.
- Freecap.
- WideCap. WideCap is a free alternative to FreeCap. Our users have mixed success with this method.
- ProxyCap. ProxyCap is a commercial alternative to the free solutions, WideCap and FreeCap. They have a free 30 day trial. For the users that WideCap and FreeCap don't work for, most have had very good success with ProxyCap.
- Proxifier. Proxifier is also another commercial alternative to WideCap and FreeCap. They also have a free 30 day trial.
